Not For Sale, a non-profit that has a primary focus on social enterprise, is implementing sustainable solutions to slavery around the world in vulnerable and at-risk communities. Batstone will discuss the genesis of this new approach, the methodology behind it, and how this translates to the Australian, and wider Asia Pacific context.

Not For Sale creates tools that engage business, government, and grassroots in order to incubate and grow social enterprises to benefit enslaved and vulnerable communities.

David Batstone's "tripolar" background in education, investment banking and journalism has given him the experience and vision to tackle human trafficking from every angle and drive the Not For Sale organisation forward at an unprecedented pace.

He has authored five books, the two most recent being Not For Sale (HarperOne) and Saving the Corporate Soul (Jossey-Bass). He is the recipient of two US national journalist awards and was named National Endowment for the Humanities Chair at the University of San Francisco for his work in technology and ethics. He is currently a professor in the School of Management at the University of San Francisco.
