UTS Library in collaboration with the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building is presenting an exhibition showcasing the work of the Transformative Technologies + Data Poetics (TT+DP) group, a multi-disciplinary collection of designers and makers operating in and around emerging technologies in architecture, communication design, and data visualisation.
The group seeks to understand the profound impact that technology is having upon the very broad idea of ‘design’. The exhibition will explore legible visualisation of complex data, mixed reality and its democratisation of the design process, examine the integration of automation within the building and construction industry, and how these types of technologies are enabling more inclusive design and review processes from architecture through to scientific data. The selection of works on display aims to investigate the potential of technologies to leverage better integration of design into our environments.
The UTS Library Exhibition Program showcases the scholarly output of UTS students and academic staff to highlight some of the most exciting creative research emerging from the university. The library curates exhibitions across a range of disciplines including design, architecture, art, science, and social sciences with the aim to connect people, knowledge, technology and culture at the heart of the UTS campus.
Exhibition Opening, Friday 1st March, 4.30-6pm, follow the attend button above to register.
